An Art, Culture, Adventure Retreat

We’ve planned another Art, Culture, Adventure Retreat! Come create with us

at Wonders & Whimsies September 11th – 17th, 2023, on Salt Spring Island, BC,

at the wonderful Enso Retreat Center! Your fabulous facilitators will once again

be Tracy Buechler of Be Brave Studio ( ) and Theresa

Ratcliff of Blue Tulip Designs.

This all-inclusive retreat will see participants creating a Whimsical Creature art

doll (whose theme will be a surprise), assembling an art journal (to document

the fun), doing some watercolor sketches (because pic’s or it didn’t happen), and

fun-filled daily creative writing exercises. Artists will also be treated to relaxing

morning yoga, a refreshing forest bathing outing, sketching & watercolor walks

in the forest and along the beach, and an adventurous trip to the local farmers

and art market, during which we will take a side quest to include a tour of the

local lavender fields on Salt Spring Island.

This Art, Culture, Adventure Retreat will be held at the picturesque and serene Enso Retreat Center on Salt Spring Island, under the care and supervision of the beautiful owner and facilitator, Dori Howard. The Enso Retreat Center has oceanfront vistas, nourishing forest walks, a fully equipped kitchen, serene studio, comfy beds, and a private beach. Please contact us concerning travel routes and connections. Attendees

will be met at Fulford Harbor Ferry Terminal on Salt Spring Island for

transport to Enso Retreat Center. Please schedule to arrive no later than

2:00 PM PST on Monday, September 11th, 2023.

The cost for this creative adventure that is Wonders & Whimsies, is $2650.00 USD.

PLEASE NOTE: SEE WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED BELOW!

The $2650.00 cost of this retreat can be paid in full or made in three installments:

First installment is a Deposit of $650.00 USD due by June 1, 2023.

Second installment of $1000.00 USD due by July 1, 2023.

Third installment of $1000.00 USD due by August 1, 2023.

Please note that due to the amount of planning and cost that goes into hosting this event, $600.00 of the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Please see our full cancellation policy at www.BlueTulipDesigns.com before registering.

What IS included in the cost of the Wonders & Whimsies Retreat:

~ Transportation to and from the Enso Retreat Center and the Fulford

Harbor Ferry Terminal on Salt Spring Island.

~ Lodging for 6 nights at the Enso Retreat Center.

~ Light refreshments for the meet & greet (Monday afternoon).

~ Breakfast, lunch, & dinner during your stay at Enso Retreat Center

(excluding lunch on Saturday during the excursion).

~ All supplies needed to complete each project.

(We recommend bringing your favorite travel watercolors).

~ Project instruction, direction, and support.

~ Excursion transportation from and to Enso Retreat Center.

~ Some Wonders & Whimsies Lagniappe (a little something extra).

What is NOT included in the cost of the Wonders & Whimsies Retreat:

~ Airfare and travel expenses, including travel insurance, to get to and from

Fulford Harbor Ferry Terminal on Salt Spring Island, BC.

~ Lunch during our excursion to the farmers and art market and trip to the

Lavender Fields.

~ Personal expenses incurred outside of this retreat.

Some Workshops are available for private sessions with a 4-person minimum.
Private classes are also offered with no minimum.

Blue Tulip Designs Cancellation Policy

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND A WORKSHOP THAT YOU HAVE REGISTERED FOR:

Contact us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a workshop as planned — workshop registration fees will be forfeited for non-attendance without notice.

If canceling at least 30 days prior to the start of the workshop, you may:

Transfer registration to another person — valid for the original workshop only.
Receive a full, non-refundable credit on account — this can be applied toward workshop registrations or purchase of any of our retail items. (Please note that all credits expire one (1) year from the date that they are issued.)

If canceling less than 30 days prior to the start of the workshop, you may:

Transfer registration to another person — valid for the original workshop only.
Receive a partial, non-refundable credit on account — (Deposit is not refundable if cancellation is less than 30 days). Partial refund can be applied toward workshop registrations or towards a purchase of our retail items. (Please note that all credits expire one (1) year from the date that they are issued.)

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND A RETREAT THAT YOU HAVE REGISTERED FOR:

Contact us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a retreat as planned — retreat deposit & costs will be forfeited for non-attendance without notice.

If canceling at least 60 days prior to the start of the retreat, you may:

Transfer registration to another person — valid for the original retreat only.
Receive a partial, non-refundable credit on account — Partial refund can be applied toward a workshop or retreat registrations or purchase of any of our retail items. (One half (1/2) of deposit is refundable. Full deposit is not refundable once made.) (Please note that all credits expire one (1) year from the date that they are issued.)

If canceling less than 60 days prior to the start of the retreat, you may:

Transfer registration to another person — valid for the original retreat only.
Receive a partial, non-refundable credit on account — Partial refund can be applied toward workshop or retreat registrations or towards a purchase of our retail items. (Full deposit is not refundable if cancellation is less than 60 days).(Please note that all credits expire one (1) year from the date that they are issued.)

IF BLUE TULIP DESIGNS FINDS IT NECESSARY TO CANCEL A WORKSHOP OR RETREAT:

Occasionally we may find it necessary to cancel a workshop or retreat. Blue Tulip reserves the right to cancel events for any reason, including inclement weather (see below). If Blue Tulip makes the decision to cancel a workshop or retreat, we will use the registration contact information you have provided to us to inform you.

If Blue Tulip cancels, participants will be provided a choice of:

A full refund;
Transfer to another, upcoming workshop or retreat date and location (space permitting);
A full, non-refundable credit on account—this can be applied toward workshop or retreat registrations or purchase towards a retail item. (Please note that all credits expire one (1) year from the date that they are issued.)

Inclement Weather:

If there is severe weather, and participants are concerned about attending a workshop or retreat, you should reach out to confirm that the workshop or retreat is still going to run. If Blue Tulip cancels on account of weather, we will contact you using the registration contact information you have provided to us.
